LCG is proud to celebrate that our podcast, All Things Marketing and Education, is officially over one years old! Starting a podcast has been such a journey, and I’ve learned so much along the way. I remember being absolutely mortified to be a podcast host. I wasn’t familiar at all with audio, didn’t have fancy podcasting tools, and absolutely hated my voice but I moved through my insecurities and my fear — and one year later, I can proudly say that podcasting is one of my favorite things I get to do in my job. I learn so much from my guests who are educators or EdTech professionals and it has also made me reflect upon my own career journey and specifically how blessed I have been to be introduced to such inspiring and selfless beings that work tirelessly to improve K-12 education.
If many of you have listened to me for a while, you’ll know one of the reasons I love social media in K-12 education, is for its ability to share powerful stories and help others. I am that person that is still saying to others, “It’s selfish for you not to be on social media!” Although my thought has not changed, I can now add podcasting as another way to share and collaborate with others to improve education.
